What happens when...

A whale clips a minnow?

April 12, JFK airport in New York.

An Air France A380 super jumbo has just clipped the tail of a Comair Bombadier Regional Jet whilst it was taxiing to the runway. Nearly 500 passengers on the double-decker with around 65 persons on the very much smaller Comair flight.

Fortunately NO-ONE appears to have been injured, but the video on the Sky News site shows just how hard they hit.

The A380 appears to have left a bit of it's left wing embedded in the Bombadier.

Oh my goodness! I could have been on that flight! The more I fly, the more fearful I become of the Atlantic flights - I've looked into taking the boat but it's horribly expensive....

I know what you mean, I used to fly a LOT for business, but 99.999% of the time you're in very good hands.

This was to be honest always going to happen, if I recall correctly JFK is a very tight airport as far as parking/taxiing areas.
