Choice of browser - is MS IE losing it...?

Whilst personally I am pleased to see that MS Internet Explorer has been relegated to second place amongst the users visiting this blog, I feel that more could be done to get it even further DOWN the list.

It's quite well known that MS IE is prone to failings, especially security ones (OK no browser is totally immune to them) but I for one would certainly recommend that people try out the others, you just might be surprised by the improvements provided.

My personal recommendation is for Chrome, yes I know it's provided by that somewhat worrying behemoth called Google, but I like it and it seems to work well with my Linux operating system.

Go on, give it a try, you know you want to... (sounding like a pusher there).

Here are links to the various versions...
Linux OS
Mac OS
Windows OS (you know what, I think I'll be difficult - if you want it for Windows you'll just have to find it yourselves -- yah boo to you Microsoft).

(ps. did you notice that I put MS at the bottom of the list - wishful thinking on my part).

ingessI'd second Chrome as the best choice.

Not only have I found it to be joint fastest (with opera) but it has the least clutter which means that more of the web page is displayed.)

I've just spent an interesting day trying to work out a problem on a friend's computer - IE9 was crashing on a pretty new install of Vista.

It turns out that IE9 isn't completely compatible with Vista (you have to disable hardware graphics acceleration) - you would have thought that Microsoft would have tested that?

All the best
