Newsflash - The pipping has begun

NEWSFLASH... ... ...

The duck eggs that we've had in the incubator since the 3rd of May have just started 'pipping'.

This is our first batch of duck eggs, we're normally quite successful with chickens so this is an important batch for us.

Started out with eight in the incubator, a mixture of Rouen and Muscovy - but all the Muscovy have proven to be infertile (seems like 'Handsome' as he's named is firing blanks), so that leaves us with the five Rouen eggs. Three have pipped this morning - a close watch will now ensue.

As they say "Watch this space for further updates".
