I might be getting a little concerned...

OK yes we live out in the country and as a result you have to accept that there will be certain critters out there that would love to share house with us.

Well I am all for live and let live (in most cases), but the little buggers are munching their way into anything that is lying around that just might potentially have at the very least a calorie or two.

We try to keep all the animal feed in secure storage, such as a fridge/freezer lying on its back (has two nice compartments) and various lidded bins. But occasionally a deal comes up where it pays to buy larger quantities of feed than normal - so I've taken to keeping any spare sacks in places off the ground such as the trailer or on top of currently unused freezers.

This has proven not to be good enough at keeping the feed safe, so we're having to go through a period of trapping the little pests as best we can - in fact something woke me up at 2am last night scurrying above the bedroom in the 'grenier'. So let battle commence.

However I came across an old packet of rat poison (I prefer to eradicate by trap rather than by poison) that as you can see holds no fear for the enemy...
