The vegetables are growing well this year.

I'm pleased to report, that unlike last year, our vegetable plot seems to be doing what it's supposed to do !

Despite having had a heck of a lot of our plants initially trashed by a very violent thunder/hail storm some time back, most plants with the exception of about 75% of our runner beans have come back to life.

OK it's taken a lot of work and almost daily watering (it's been quite dry for the last month or so), until last night when we had a good few hours of nice steady rain. Even the waterbutts are almost refilled.

The courgettes though do seem to be doing extremely well as this photo shows...

Quite amazing really, however the one I harvested tonight that was chopped up and cooked before I could get my camera on it weighed a very impressive 1.3kg
