I know that I love 'em, freshly cooked in a rich butter/herb sauce.
Well, we're going to try 'growing our own', got a small terrarium that's now home to about a dozen shelled critters freshly collected from our own garden.
Before you all start going 'YUCK', it's quite safe to eat garden snails as long as they've been purged, either by not feeding for a few days before consumption or by letting them only live on and eat vegetables that we know are free from pesticides and safe for US to eat.
Anyway, the idea being that these first 'Pathfinders' will be the start of our breeding stock and that we'll get nice healthy 'eating' snails in the months to come (or at least I will, don't think the wife will eat them...!).
